Nissan Shatai carries out the integrated production of various vehicles that are used not only in Japan, but also in many countries around the world. We are actively expanding our global business in order to deliver quality cars to customers worldwide.
We play a central role in the global Nissan Group in the area of the production of LCV (Light Commercial Vehicles).
Harnessing the manufacturing technology that the Shonan Plant possesses, we are engaged in the local development and production of LCV in Nissan plants around the world, in countries including Spain, Thailand, North America, Mexico, Indonesia, Brazil.
Nissan Shatai is also strengthening our support system for training our human resources who can play an active role on the global stage. In addition to improving language skills, we emphasize communication skills to carry out problem-solving with overseas local staff. We're strengthening alignment with overseas offices by, for example, increasing opportunities for overseas business trips and assignments.
In the future, we will continue to　build up experience in providing production and development　support and in globalization, and at　the same time, develop the Nissan　Shatai business platform and　establish an “LCV standard.“We will　apply this to the global expansion　of our LCV business as we strive to　achieve greater market expansion.

Employees in the development and production engineering divisions of Nissan Shatai are engaged in the local development and production of LCV at bases around the world.

In the LCV and SUV fields, specialties of Nissan Shatai, we are working on vehicle manufacturing which can meet the diverse needs of customers throughout the world. Nissan Shatai is opening up its own new markets by capturing the diverse individual needs of each country and region, implementing improvements promptly, and delivering quality products.

How can we quickly produce vehicles which meet the needs of our customers?

Throughout a corporate history of producing numerous renowned vehicles, we have equipped ourselves with much development knowhow and development technologies. Today, in the development of our businesses in the LCV and SUV sectors, employees in the development division visit the local sites, gather feedback from customers, and transform their needs into actual products. For example, developers reflected the need for improvements in power performance by the main markets in the Middle East Gulf region speedily into the design, and commenced production at the plant immediately. In this way, they succeeded in delivering the product that the customers needed. This is the result of initiatives unique to Nissan Shatai, which carries out vehicle manufacturing processes ranging from development to production.
In addition, we are aggressively marketing the high level of practicality of automatic transmission vehicles, which had previously not been available in the product line-up for Middle East Gulf countries, which in turn helped us to launch the vehicle in new markets. In these ways, we are putting effort into uncovering new and potential needs.
