Styling engineers draw pictures on a computer screen at the early stage of image sketching and use the 3D data in communicating with the Design staff. Adoption of 3D data eliminated the need to build 1/4-scale clay models as in the conventional method and has led to reduction of the time required for decision-making. |

The virtual vehicles are then projected on a large screen on full scale and examined from various angles how the vehicle appears in actual size. |
